„It is immensely fascinating and exciting to accentuate all the many female facets, the elegance, the sublime and the vulnerability.“ It required a lot of courage, on Manuela’s part, especially at the beginning in order to capture the raw, because essentially you are baring your all. Women are incredible beings, metamorphic and have an inexhaustible source of archaic power; they are at the same time fairies, queens, mythical creatures and warriors.
Manuela is convinced of it and with her art she wants to encourage women to flaunt their self-reliance. So she creates scenes with shy wild animals, magnificent rococo figures and timeless moments of jealousy in the light of bygone eras. „All too often, women are pictured as one dimensional and classically clichéd as a sex object, which just does not do them justice, „says Manuela.
Of course in her compositions the sensual element, the erotic feminine charisma play a fundamental role but with all the colours, accessories and style elements the mood carries fleeting stories to fruition.
